... you work, the luckier you get."

I got in a good high-altitude ride on Tuesday, which was taxing but interesting, as always. It's pretty quiet up here, so it makes for a good time. I rode over to the Tahepia fishing access and then on to Piney Point Campground. I'd never been on the rode to Badger Bay on the bicycle, so also checked that out. On the way back, I re-traced my route ...

As some of you know, I spent from last Monday until Friday morning up at Georgetown Lake. I hastened home on Friday to avoid a seemingly ominous Winter Storm Warning on the forefront, so to speak.

Anyway, it was a very unique experience this time. The three moose showed up on day two. The eagles were there "in spades." In fact, I've never seen so many eagles in my lifetime, as ...

... lunch at the Avon Cafe after an uneventful drive over McDonald Pass. Taking that route, we avoided any snow and ice on the roadway. Isn't the internet a great tool for planning a trip?

Anyway, the food at the Cafe is tasty and voluminous. We split another Club Sandwich with hand-cut fries. A great choice, it was. Stop by if you've got a hankerin' for some good eats.

    When we arrived here, ...
