... search through them to see if there were any sapphires… no guarantees.

The process is quite simple and much like placer mining for gold and other stones. A small amount of the stones is poured into a wooden frame about a foot square with a screen bottom. The frame is then placed in sluice of running water and shaken back and forth and up and down to clean the stones of dust and clay. Sapphires are also heavier than the ...

    Long Pants Weather

    ... back at the house.

I did nearly an hour's hike through the campground and was amazed at the number of Ravens hanging about. I have also seen three bald eagles so far. Some of the numerous Coots have been feeding them, if you get my meaning. No people here during this season of solitude. I like that, as you know. It refreshes one's spirit...

... I was not disappointed. When I got just outside of Anaconda it hit. The Subaru was also a bit shocked, I believe, as it kind of "waddled" into the "breeze", as it is know in Wyoming. I haven't forgotten how those days were coming back from the Southland in 2012.

Not much snow fell enroute. We stopped in Anaconda to pick up a few necessities. Can you believe that Safeway was out of Durkees? Sad but ...

... the pleasure to see on this trip. I'd estimate that at least 25 baldies showed up. They were hunting, roosting and soaring, it seemed, everywhere, at times. I did get a few shots, which I'll post here. Some are already at o/, and you may have seen them. The bay was mostly frozen over when I arrived on Monday, but it too experienced an ...
