... where there's a cool fountain and a view of Big Ben in the background and also the National Gallery, which is just an art museum. Since we didn't know what we wanted to do we went into the museum and looked around and went into the guest shop. We found a really cool book there that was probably for children, but it gave some good descriptions of all the different sights around London. We also got a map and ...
London, England, United Kingdom kring715... back to the Coach station in time. But I soon regretted that situation. After listening to a homeless man sing amazing grace, I had to pay about £5 to suffer an awkward lift ride with one of the shop assisstants who dropped me off at the top of the tower. I tried to make the most of the view seen as though it cost me so much, but I really found that hard. It was at a fairly average viewpoint over ...
London, England, United Kingdom iamlayton... wrong entrance the other day. I was right; the church was open so I joined in for Evensong. I'd picked a service where the choir happened to be singing, and I can say that it was quite stirring to hear the pipe organ and the choir reverberate throughout the cathedral. Finally I caught up with Stocky from BAE Systems who came up from Portsmouth for the evening, had tea nearby Covent Gardens at a pizza joint called Fire & Stone and a few ales ...
London, United Kingdom b3ennyk... water...if you want some warm water - you have to use a sink plug and mix the cold and the hot water in the sink...it sounds easier than it is though...consider this: you want to wash your hands...the hot water faucet produces scalding hot water, the cold one produces icy water, so - you plug the sink and let the hot and the cold mix together...you wait until the sink is at least half full - to be able to immerse your hands in ...
London, England, United Kingdom irenan... my hostel on piccadilly, i figured london is full of people in scout uniforms and jamboree scarfs. london got a completely new image, i felt like i didn't leave really. there were a lot of participants even in my hostel. it was really quite funny, because noone who lived in london could acutally understand it, the rainbow scarfs and id cards. i was saying jambo, hello to everyone. it was something that kept us together. i would almost say, that week, i saw more jambo people ...
London, England, United Kingdom encalien... So I waited there for
about half an hour. But I wasn’t the only one who had to wait for the
next one. There was theses guy, who was really cute. When the bus
arrived I got in and sat down. The guy sat down next to me, even though
we were the only passages on the bus. But the whole time we didn’t
speak a word to each other. He just gave me the cutest smile.
After about one and a half hour the bus arrived in Oxford. It was already dark outside.

London, England, United Kingdom danandlaura... from my travels! When the speaker was reflecting on what great achievements we'd accomplished it felt a million miles away from Brazil....... and several degrees colder! On the positive side everyone here speaks English, well with the exception of Alex who at the moment seems to be constantly mumbling. Other benefits include: I can now put toilet paper into the toilet. Drinking from the tap, well actually we drank tap water throughout Costa Rica and ...
London, United Kingdom cat6698... rest. across the river, good prices. We order our food and are sitting at the table and the waitres comes out in a panic telling me my money isn't REAL!!! I'm like what do you mean!! I got it out of an ATM at the airport !! They said both of my 20£ notes were fake!! couldn't believe it.
