After one of the shortest plane rides of my life (a wee 25 mins) I landed in Glasgow, where I met up with my mom, who is in town for a social work conference (and to visit me of course). We are renting an apartment in the centre of the city. During a quick dinner at an Irish Pub, mom got me all caught up on all the news, ...

That seemed to be the theme of my break, really: lovely, warm, generous people welcoming me into their homes.
