... our ferry destined for Belfast, Northern Ireland. It was one of those really big ferries with a cinema, bar, restaurant and even a massage parlour on board! All such things were out of our budget so we opted instead to share a coffee between us that came with free, unlimited refills for the entire journey. I haven't been able to sleep since!
It was quite nice cruising across the Ireland Ocean. The sun had come out and we were looking forward to the fun times ...
... nice to be able to relax after such a run, and in fact the entire weekend with Rachael and Paul was relaxing and exactly what I needed (including the home cooked meals by Rachael) after the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. The following day Rachael and I went to Edinburgh for the day. It is only a 50min train trip away. Edinburgh is a beautiful city (see photos and commentary). The international terminal is beautiful, spacious, and quite new looking. I finally arrived at the gate with about 45 minutes until boarding. I did a quick ...
... the whole ordeal hilarious as he limped to the side. To make matters that little bit worse, Lisu who has very limited English ran over and presumed the toe was still dislocated and started pulling with all his might at Tim’s toes and he screamed no, it’s OK now! They still carried on with a few games, Tim spoke about our identity as children of God and then a few of the girls even offered to pray for Tim’s poor toe which he gladly accepted. What legends! ...
... building itself included. It’s full of great exhibits, including a room on Scottish culture and one on Art Nouveau and Mackintosh’s “Glasgow Style.” A bonus during my visit was a half-hour organ concert: a music student comes in to play the big, old pipe organ. It must be fun to play in such a huge space. TV screens show the organist's hands on the keyboards and feet on the pedals. Very cool.
