We knew it was going to be another scorcher, so we got on the road as early as possible, after a quick drive by to see the Mitchell Corn Palace (one of those things you've got to do if you're in Mitchell, isn't it?)

Revisiting Decorah
... and has begun to make lovely Brie cheeses. Naturally, there was fresh butter, milk, queso fresca, and cottage cheese to eat. He also raises and slaughters chickens and sheep, and this year is raising a couple of Hair Sheep ewes, which don't have the wooly coat that needs such maintenance. There are always lots of people about, and it was fun to cook with lots of interesting people.

Nervous...yet excited!
Hi all! I just wanted to get this started before I'm off. Just a brief summary of what I’m doing: Andrea Hrubes and myself will be spending the next four months in Krakow, Poland, studying at Jagiellonian University for the semester. I originally was going to start at Allen for nursing this semester but decided to start in the fall and spend this semester on the adventure of a lifetime!
