    Lake Tahoe is a beautiful royal blue lake surrounded by gorgeous mountains and pine trees. We spent two nights there. The first night we got there late and just set up camp and went to sleep. I swear I heard a black bear walking around our tent that night. The next day, we spent at one of the beaches in South Lake Tahoe.     ... of the roads and even if we could turn back further on. We did see two rental campers barrelling in the other direction and Gary quietly commented that they didn't have to explain any damage to their father-in-law!! We got back to the centre of town and checked out the shops, mainly ski rental and sales (not sure what they would sell in the summer) We also drove up to the skiifield and found that there was plenty of parking for RV's.

    ... Emerald Bay provided the setting for one of the first summer homes at Lake Tahoe.
