ARE WE THERE YET?

Once in London we went through the Security fire drill and in to our holding bid for 6 hours. We wandered, read, ate and surprising enough the time flew pretty fast. On to our flight to Dubai which was the one that killed us! Thank god we were close to the city in Dubai and "B" lined to the hotel. Hope I never have enough wander lust again to endure another flight like that!

London day 2 "me day"
... On the way I wandered over tower bridge and through an older part of the docklands which was just like it was out of a episode of Sherlock holmes. So in the museum I saw an exhibition on fashion drawing which was really interesting seeing what had changed and what principles were still exactly the same. Then I saw a retrospective of an architect called John pawson whom is into buildings that have clear spaces (not the best explanation) I loved ...
British Museum
... cake and it was so yum and so fresh. Mick had what was called a breakfast sandwich which is bacon and eggs and a banana cake and he loved it too.
After lunch we walked a few minutes to the British Museum which is free to enter. When you walk in you enter a massive circular room with a domed glass segmented ceiling. It is very impressive. V & A Day
After much excitement involving some missing carving knives and a vanished chef and, remarkably, another delicious breakfast, we set off on our excursion du jour. We decided that, rather than having an entire town, e.g. Dover, Winchester, as our goal we'd narrow it down a bit to reduce the overwhelming factor.
