    ... 100 miles of the day - very heavy with lots of spray on the road. Steady as we go and we get through OK.

    To get to our final destination of Silveton we have two mountain passes, Coal Bank Pass at 10640 ft and Molas Pass at 10910ft both small compared to the Grand Canyon but beautifully formed. I was so cold (and wet!) though when we arrived in Silverton and took an hour to warm up properly.

We capped the evening off with an attempt to find an open laundromat, but were unsuccessful -- apparently all Durango laundromats (at least 3 of them anyway) close at eight or earlier. Tomorrow...
