Reflecting upon the experience, it was *************eering one for myself, simply because it is a place visited on numerous occasions in the past, but it always leaves me wondering just what a foreign visitor would make of a town of this nature, which typifies the tacky, yet somehow alluring nature of a fair number of British coastal towns.<br>

... to dawn on me what I had let myself in for. Looking back on it now it is hard to imagine how I felt, mainly because I now know what I have encountered over the last year, but before I left I was stepping into the complete unknown... anything could happen!<br><br>Anyway, to try and counterbalance the feelings of anxiety I got really really drunk and ended up puking in my tent (which I was sharing with my unfortunate friend Rich).
