... to eat there. Debby and I have both learned by now that ancient wisdom that if you can’t say something good, then it’s better to say nothing at all. As my knife cut through the double or was it triple cooked layers of batter I knew I would be saying nothing.




Our pedometer revealed the total kilometres for the day amounted to 23kms and the good news is that Debby arrived in good shape and looks set to be able to finish our pilgrimage by my side.

... wondered whether he would get on board but he did. With the obligatory dog in tow. There must have been at least 4 dogs on our cruise! 2 other boats like ours all set out from Wroxham to cruise the Broads for one and a half hours. Ian reckons there were about 100 on each boat. The other boats were filled by oldies from tour buses whereas ours was still full of oldies, apart from us(!!), but just oldies travelling ...

Today we were out and about in Norwich and further afield in Norfolk. We started with a 1 hour cruise down the Wensum River in Norwich. It was a gentle trip down the river under a number of low bridges. At times, the cruise doesn't run due to high tides. We then went for a drive to Great Yarmouth and stopped at a tiny almost-beachside cafe (old Manor Cafe - not sure where the Manor was!) at Caister for lunch.
