Hello All:
This is my first travel blog so I welcome comments - good and bad - to help me craft something that may be interesting to somebody. Don't expect frequent updates as I don't spend a lot of time in internet cafes, or at hotel computers, when I'm travelling as there is always so much to see and do, and too little time to do it all. When I do update, you can expect details of journeys, meals and hotels, as these are things that are (usually) enjoyable for me.

... s "little bear friends" finally decided to show themselves.) The first bear sighting of our trip was very exciting. After directing me to seek safety in the car, John proceeded to track the bear with camera in hand as I periodically knocked on the windshield to signify my discomfort with his "Grizzly Man" ways. Fortunately, all were safe and John even got a ...

I do not think I will miss Boston per say, but already have withdrawals from its bountiful harvest: fresh baked sprouted wheat sandwiches with homemade hummus, sprouts, carrots, lettuce, cucumber, onion and a curried ginger vinaigrette ...
Last night at work... tears at the edge of my eyes all night. South Deerfield, Massachusetts, United States sitzmanaWhen I bought my flight tickets for this trip, I knew the departure date was rather soon. However, as always, it has come quicker than I expected! It is sad to be leaving home during some of the warmest weather of the year, and while the town is looking really lovely, but my excitement for the trip has continued to escalate the past few weeks. In a few hours I will be heading off to take Amtrak to Newark International, and then ...
Simsbury, Connecticut, United States jciafoneAfter lunch in New Haven, we're off to visit the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA. Unfortunately, we got there at 4:00pm just as they were about to close. I just got some souvenirs and we had some ice cream before leaving for Chiqui's house in CT. Chiqui cooked the Alaskan King Crab legs for dinner, maybe the best crab I've ever tasted!

Becket, Massachusetts, United States pykesonthego... was awesome! It took a few seconds for us to open the awning, throw a blanket on the ground and grab some chairs.
After lunch we headed our separate ways. When we got home, Sami had no problem backing the camper into our driveway! We removed everything, did what minor clean up was left and the camper was re-packed and ready for our next trip!
It was very nice getting up and being able to shower in my own bathroom, thinking I had all the privacy in the world. However, that was not the case as my nephew Alex came charging into the camper to see if we were ready to head off to the park. Needless to say, my full moon is not one he will forget anytime soon! :-)

... us with a score of amazing signs. Did you know Dentists Prefer Their Cavity to others? I didn't, but now I do. On arrival we are not disappointed. A wide gravel drive and lot leads us towards a gaping bat's maw -- wow!!! The entire barn that their shop and offices are based in is painted up as a GIANT BAT with glowing red eyes! You walk into its mouth to get to the tour info. Oh, I am in LOVE with ...
