... was a cordless screwdriver to drive them in! We have had time to think about how to make life easier - a drip strip is waiting for warm weather, to put above the door and lockers to keep water from dripping in when they are opened. And we have got some eyelets for the groundsheet - we found that it didn't like to lay flat in anything other than perfect calm. We have invested in some spare parts like a water pump to take with us. 5th Feb I ...
... us breakfast Giles called, so I had a good chat to him. Then we sat down to a yummy breakfast of bacon, eggs, baked beans and toast. After breakfast we went down to the beach and to a cafe called the Lobster Pot where we had a coffee. Val then dropped us off at the train station and we caught the midday train back to London Victoria. It was lovely to spend some time with Val, even if it was short, and for her and Jodi ...

... During the next day I didn't do much, but when I did it was to take thee family dog for a walk through the Barton hills, it was a nice walk although cloudy and uninspiring. During the night we ducked into the local pub for a few beers with some of Jack's mates and then before I knew it we were up at 5.30 the following morning heading back in to London.
So after these minor events, I am now embarking on a trip through Germany, Poland, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
