100 Pudding Creek Road Fort Bragg, California, United States, 707-961-1700
Within minutes of arriving at the Beachcomber, I asked myself why not stay over another day and rest up my hands from the exciting switchback excursion. I have to say that despite exercises specifically to keep them in good condition, my hands remain the longsuffering victims of really long or arduous roads. So I did stay over and spent the day ...
Fort Bragg, California, United States visionrider... her hands at the junction with 101's feeder road. An accident had just occurred and between a small, very bashed in SUV and another car. A bad one and if it hadn't been for the small crowd from nearby houses, I and the other cars that arrived at the intersection would have all pulled over instead of proceeding as she motioned us on.
As I continued south, 5 police cars passed me rushing to ...
... of stop and go for 20 miles. As we got closer to the Golden Gate bridge so did the fog as we crossed the bridge it was barely visible due to the heavy fog just our luck! We then attempted to go in the view point on the north side of the bridge only to find it filled with people just like us and no parking was available so we continued on our journey to Ft Bragg. In our planning we thought it would be great to travel up the ...
Fort Bragg, California, United States tsql2005... veered off 101 and turned onto the legendary California Route 1—the coastal road that skirts the coast. Boy, I thought the Beartooth Highway was something! Highway 1 is more twists and turns and ups and downs than I would think could be crammed into one road. We had planned to leave the redwood parks and drive inland to Lassen Volcano National Park, but changed our plans at the last minute to give ...

... she's motion sensitive to those who don't know). I asked if she wanted me to stop, she said no, the only thing she said for a while. Out of the corner of my eye I saw her keep her mouth covered with a sweatshirt. Now going down hill, and still trying to get us out of there, I was driving as fast as I could, braking at every turn, which still appeared immediately after the last one, Vanessa still green ...
Caspar Headlands State Beach, California, United States trip09... all were sitting quietly then the predominant bull (male) sea lion decided to move...well there was an uproar everybody started honking and sea lions are quite vocal. I am so fortunate to be on this trip. Tomorrow I start heading for Washington State where I will catch the ferry over to Vancouver Island but before I go as a lady I was talking to today said 'before you leave California hug a redwood tree' so guess what I have an appointment with a very sexy redwood tree. :)
fort bragg, California, United States muggeragem... worth looking at, if it only frees your head up to look at the universe in a different way. While at the day long talk we met a couple who were living in their van doing the same us - nothing, but everything all at the same time. They had been on the road 3 years and thought the only place they would ever consider settling was in Fairfax. Which was some recommendation for the little town we currently call home. Two weeks later we went to the Kundalini Dance Weekend ...
Laytonville, California, United States spiritsorcha... sunbathing on the rocks. The girls went down tonight and also some large jelly fish. We are close to many small towns-the closest being Fort Bragg which has many amenities-no Walmart or big malls though. There is a Starbucks! Tomorrow we plan a drive down the coast and will visit a few small towns along the way. It is really beautiful here and we are looking forward to the next 4 days of our stay. Talk to you soon.
Fort Bragg, California, United States wheretheydrive... This town was pretty small. Only a few buildings. Think there was a gift shop and a couple bed and breakfasts. Jenner is one town I had thought of booking a trip to. I am so glad now I hadn't. Besides the few very pretty bed and breakfasts with wonderful views, there was really nothing else but a gift shop. If you are to stay here you will probably want to hop down the 116 to Guerneville or Sebastopol.
