... made us feel a bit **** after. We got given a traditional Mahout top replace ours, then after a nice little chat with one of the carers, who explained a bit about the relationship between Thailand and elephants, and general elephantastic info, we went over to see a group of 6 elephants. We were given a bunch of bananas each and got to feed them. It was pretty awesome, although a bit scary when a trunk reaches from behind you to try and nick your bananas! They were given some other grub ...

... holiday. That evening we went to Phuket Fantasea, which is a cultural illusion theatrical show. Amazing! Plenty of illusion, music, fantasy, trapeze artists doing their thing on swings above our heads and the elephants dancing and acting on the stage.

Our flight was only late on Sunday night, so we had a final massage and day on the beach before departing at midnight.

I had been looking forward to the massages, but it's been so hot and sweaty that I didn't feel I would relax enough to enjoy it. The weather today though was much cooler than it has been and I had no problem relaxing. I didn't sweat at all. Strangely, whereas previous massages I've had have brought back happy memories of mum like me holding her dress crossing the road and ...

Today we spent most of the day hanging out at our closet beach. We enjoyed watching some of the big tourists get smashed by the dumping shore break. We did a lot of shopping today buying lots of hats, t shirts and sun glasses. Harry and I even brought some speakers with water in them. We then had a long swim in our pools before going out for ...

Today we decided to visit a different beach. We took a taxi from the hotel to Kata beach (the closest beach to the hotel, the one we went to on our first day here). Having had a look on the map Kata Noi, the beach we were going to didn't seem too far away so we decided to walk. Kata Noi beach was a lot quieter than the beach we had first visited. The sea looked a lot clearer too. As we are still quite sunburnt we rented 2 sun loungers ...
