    ... be honest, sounded pretty trashy and I loved where we were, but we ended up having a blast! The party on Walking Street is one of a kind. Vegas meets New Orleans meets Austin maybe? The Australian authorities confine them in some small islands indefinitely until you decide to return to their homes, or are diverted to other states as the island of Naru or even in Cambodia that take them for a fee.     ... are in Thailand. It is pretty but has no soul.
    We also went up the big Buddha which is in the middle of the island on top of a mountain. It is a nice place to go and gives you a 360 degree view of the island which is beautiful.
