Jill's mum and dad, Dawn and Peter, took us to lunch at The Barrel Inn at Bretton in the Peak District. Unfortunately, the stunning views were marred by rain and fog. No more gorgeous sunshine! Split, here we come.

The following weekend Avery and I met up with some of her classmates to stop by the 41st annual Steel City Beer and Cider Festival at the nearby Kelham Island Museum. (Note: Sheffield used to be a huge steel manufacturer and most of it was produced in Kelham Island). There was even a live band (of the brass and horns variety) that played the Jurassic Park theme song. Weird, but awesome.
