It was a magnificent two lane aqueduct built over the River Avon (1805) with a junction at one end big enough for the boats to turn around or to change direction from one canal to another. The canal has many boats moored on the side. Many of them are occupied. Some by grey nomads with bicycles on top while others have young families in them. Adventuring oldies ...

... noticed a table grand piano, and soon after I sat down, a man in a suit and bow tie sat down to entertain me with a selection from the light classics and popular tunes from the cinema. I chose to overlook that I was wearing "the wrong outfit" but assumed an air of quiet dignity as if this were quite the normal thing for me to do. I'm not sure how well I pulled it off, but when I finally finished, leaving a reasonable tip (still remembering my need to be generous to others) ...
