The night before
School's out, work is on pause and the cottage industry is closed for Christmas. It's finally here after months of waiting and we're all beside ourselves with excitement.
The bags are packed (with space to spare thanks to Annette's frugal choice of clothes) and we have even managed to find room for Ellie much to Esther's relief.
We've got so many exciting new experiences ahead of us crammed into a 7 week trip. South East Asia here we come!

Easy day =)
... eat a large supper (which is actually what they call lunch in England), and lucky for me I got a true English breakfast!!! Let me say that English bacon trumps Canadian bacon in every way shape or form. Half term break = PACKED TRAINS
... to Liverpool/ Formby. Well, the unfortunate bit was it was the day before school went back after half term in England. This translates into an insanely packed train from Cheltenham to Birmingham, which is just about over an hour. I had to stand on the train in a packed doorway with my lovely 13.7 kilo backpack. Nearly there
We have finally made all the preparation for the trip. Caravan is sorted out with a new battery and extra lights for the kitchen area. Tomorrow we will take most of the clothes we have and store them away in our new drawers and cupboards. Supplies of food are on board, wine to follow.
Al the bits and pieces work but we haven't got the gas heater to work, nor the fridge on gas, but we are not expecting to use them so they can wait. The fridge works well ...
