Today (Saturday) we're having a day off and spending it at the Speke Resort in Kampala. It's a very smart place on the shores of Lake Victoria and has a large swimming pool.
Juliet was about to apply her sun cream when we noticed that what she thought was sun cream was actually Spanish hairspray. She had been using it all day yesterday at Sanga and wondered why it had not been very effective!

Last night we got back to the hotel just before 9 so we sat down to eat at about 9.30 and had a good meal. Because it is graduation week at one of the universities there seem to be parties every night. By 11 the party in the hotel had just about finished. As I write this we're bumping along a dusty marram road back to Kampala. Tomorrow we're in Bombo where the team spent 3.5 days last week. Last night the translating team stayed overnight in the Church and had a bit of a party. They told us they had prayed for us for 2 hours last night and 3 hours this ...

... and it has been a quieter day for everyone. It's now 3.30 and we.are back down the marram road! The doctors have seen less acute conditions but came across a case of Jiggers, which occurs when people don't wear shoes. It is a grub caught off pigs, where eggs are hatched between toes. It is apparently very contagious and very common. Tom was able to match up donated glasses with recipients and Mohammed and Innocent were delighted. This afternoon Sarah-Beth, ...
