      ... heyday. We see some amazing pieces, including inscriptions from Alexander the Great, and a gold clock crafted like a ship that would sail down the banquet table and light cannon fire as it's grand finale. Massive Persia Obsidian statues as tall as the ceiling flank the entrance to the Persian exhibit. It is all too much for the boys, who are complaining and tired, although Elizabeth could keep going, so we pause for lunch.

      The time has finally arrived! Can't wait to get to New York. I'm so excited. We tried for a free upgrade on the plane but it didn't work, they were fully booked. After checking in we sat and had a coffee and drinks with Mum, Dad, Katie and Colin. It was then time to leave them and go through security.
