        ... it be overflowing (3 weeks seems a lot to pack for, especially when we could be going from hot sunny weather to cold autumn/winter....maybe)? How many coats? What about swimming costumes? Sandals or boots? Nightmare!

        ahhh well....back to the packing...and washing...and ironing...need a holiday.

        ... digital boarding pass, the guy checking thought it was great and it went off without a hitch. Then we hit the X-ray machine only to be pulled for extra screening. Twenty minutes later and no real issues found, we were on our way to the lounge to rest and refuel.

        Oh boy, does that jet lag catch up to ...

        ... we left the plane in London we were met by an attendant who hurriedly took us through the airport via an underground route so that we could fly on. Now we had been through a security check in Berlin but there was another one in Heathrow. The officers knew that we were in a great hurry but they decided to pick us off and absolutely went through every single item in our bags - particularly Henry's ! They took over one hour!!!!!         ... guy who had completed the entire Route 66 in 6 days, on his own.  He literally stopped at every landmark / point of interest, took photoes, and then jumped into his car to carry on driving.  He slept for 5/6 hours a night and just spent the entire time driving on his own.  That's what we'd call hardcore!!!! The "End of the Route" sign was there for us to capture, but annoyingly, lots of people were having their photos taken and we wanted to stand a shout "we've JUST ...
