After a bumpy passage across. We arrived at the northern port of Burnie. We were on a trip to a world heritage nature reserve. We had a very entertaining guide and driver, they were a bit like Morecambe and Wise, and talked over the Mike to each other. They were very informative and passionate about their island. We first visited Sheffield, a Wild West looking town, but famous for murals over nearly every ...

After lunch we went to a sheep sheering demonstration, I must admit, we were not too bothered about this, but it was really good and very entertaining . As you can see in the photo we were shown all ...

Bryony dropped me at the airport at 8:45pm for me to meet up with the other Queensland guys. Only Col Cooke and Gill Chapman are there as Ross Chapman (no relation to Gill) is not coming now until the 12th as he has a seriously ill pet at home. Malaysian Airlines will carry 15kgs of cricket gear each as well as our 30kgs of luggage so having 45kgs of luggage each is fantastic.

... temperatures but my feet were numb for an hour or 2 afterwards. To warm ourselves up we had a few of the famous Cornish pasties (apparently the pasty originated in Cornwall) and they were delicious. After spending almost a week in in Devon with Aileen's family it was time to head off to Europe for a couple of weeks.

Our first stop in Europe was Belgium where we did a lot of walking around sight seeing and also our fair share of sampling the ...
