          Today we knew exactly what we wanted to do....drive Independence Pass!! Sarah and Josh had told us how awesome it was so we just had to find out for ourselves!

          ... in Gypsum (another 20 mins further west). It would appear that despite being called OCTOBER fest, everywhere locally had already celebrated it in SEPTEMBER....it's not just me that finds this strange, right?!?!

          Anyway, Gypsum was the only place that had theirs in October so we went to see what it was all about....again a little quiet compared to what we expected but still a fun few hours. We had Bratwursts, Darren had a special brewed beer from near by 'Bonfire ...

          ... enjoys this break is Mr Pickles who is just now sleeping before we are going hicking in the mountains. The weather here is absolutly amazing reaching above 80 f so we have to wait early afternoon before heading up ! As well I am out of shape after a month just using my right foot to accelerate or braking and my ten fingers to get on the internet.

          ... 104 degrees. It turned out to be the perfect spot to take a short break and relax. The water was very soothing and the minerals left my body feeling refreshed. Just make sure to shower off after leaving the pool or you will carry a smell reminiscent of rotten eggs all day from the elemental sulfur in the springs.
