... the Shambles and behind the facades of the shops. Apart from the very strong wind it was worth the climb. We visited the Chapter House with its seven stained glass windows and beautiful flooring. I even managed to spot the one and only 'green man' as I was sitting underneath it. There is a new interactive attraction called the Undercroft, this follows the 2000 year journey of the Minster and is really quite moving especially the section on Resurrection, well ...

It has been a wet old day from start to finish which we think is the first time that has happened during our entire trip! Not bad eh! We made our way to the Town End Farm Cottages in Malhamdale. Set on a working farm, with a divine view of Malhamdale Cove, we have 3 cottages that was once a converted barn. Cows & sheep are sprinkled in our view. On our way, we went through Skipton (Saturday market day) & Thorlby. We saw John & Jill Spensley. David & Janet Lee we're visiting Jill, on their way to London. John now farms the land & kids got to walk don to the farm to see the ...

... duplicate competition a few times though we did come an emphatic last when we played as partners. We probably reached ‘Improvers Level’ and may well join a club when we are again settled in Ripon. Nick managed to improve his classical guitar playing though perhaps not as much as he would have hoped and he may go on and try and do something constructive with this in the future. We both managed to read with Jo reading 16 books and attending the QM2 Book Club. ...
