Another beautiful day with loads of sunshine and blue skies. Today was forecast to be the best day of the week so we had planned to head off to the seaside. There were a number of options for the location of our costal day so after weighing these up we picked Saltburn. A prompt get away allowed us to be in the car park on the sea front by ten o'clock, before the beach and sea front had become really busy and we enjoyed a quiet walk into town. The only real ...

The day began like all the previous days; with sun streaming into the bedroom. We had our breakfast and headed into Ripon in time for a wander around the centre before heading to the Cathedral for the 10.30 service. Ripon was certainly quiet at that time on a Sunday and it allowed us to get our ...

... Knighton to Cwm which included 14 and a half miles of walking with 2900 feet of climbing. Not what Nick had been expecting and he is not sure that Offa's Dyke is much less taxing than the Pennine Way. It is however much more varied and scenic. It was great to meet old friends again and we need to thank Rachel, Simon and Kate for coming to Jo's rescue when she needed to take a couple of day's rest with her ...
