Today, Friday, we had another great drive. We left Austin, Nevada by nine AM and had only about a hundred and fifty miles to travel. We moved lower and lower until now we're at about 4,400 above sea level. It's about seventy degrees here and feels great. We headed back to home base and got ourselves gussied up with Mike and Kraib for a couple of games of Bocce at Truckee River Winery. ... rest of the afternoon on the beach; Ruth and I reading and taking dips, JJ catching crayfish and putting them in a makeshift beach pond.
As the temperature started to drop below 27degC we left the beach and went food shopping at Safeway before coming home for the evening.
After a hearty meal there was enough time for a quick dip in the jacuzzi before settling in for the night.
... the Dean organising it concept didn't last long, ha ha. Dean, myself and Reuben & Jasper left the venue on the 11pm shuttle, Sean stayed on. What happened after stays on the mountain but it got a bit messy and so did Ciaran...that's all I'll say in writing.
