The Sentosa, A Beaufort Hotel
Travel Blogs from Sentosa Island
With the conference officially finished today was free for us to do as we pleased. So of course, Chelsea and I went shopping. First stop was the VivoCity Shopping Centre and then we headed into Orchard Road. There were people everywhere and we got lost in the underground shops. Our favourite shops were Sephora for cosmetics, Forever 21 for clothes …
Today was the big day....David was giving his presentation at the breakfast session. A lot of planning and preparation paid off as all went great. Chelsea did the closing section of the presentation and did everyone proud. All day we had people giving us compliments on how well she did. We are two very proud parents today!

Today is our 15th wedding anniversary. I can't believe how quick the years have gone, particularly the last 5 or so. We have a conference social day today, so are heading out for a cultural tour of Sinagpore and then lunch at Raffles Hotel.
We started our tour at Arab Town which is the part of Singapore that is donimated by the Arab Community. …
This morning was an early start with the conference opening immediately after breakfast. This went for a couple of hours and then the conference delegates stayed on for the business sessions. As we had a Night Safari at Sinagpore Zoo organised for the night the kids and I spent the day relaxing beside the pool while Mark was at meetings. The pool …

Historical Traveler Reviews The Sentosa, A Beaufort Hotel Sentosa Island
The Sentosa Resort and Spa (previously known as the Beaufort Sentosa) is a beautiful hotel. In particular the pool area and the Cliff restaurant are stunning, especially at night.
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Sentosa Resort and Spa in November 2005.
Just finished spending 2 nights at the Sentosa Island Resort in Singapore. Used this as a stopover for 3 days between Australia and Europe. Had never heard of Sentosa Island and had no idea what to expect.
Stayed here for 5 nights this month on the way back from Europe. Great service both at reception and in the resturants. Very well trained staff. Lovely grounds and fantastic pool area. Monkeys and peacocks around the place. Rooms a little tired but have everything you could want in them.
The hotel has 2 buses that run throughout the day, one every half hour to the Harbour front MRT and the second every hour to Orchard rd in the city ( and back). Sentosa island has a bus which calls every 15 mins to go to various parts of the island (also free).
Sentosa island at the moment is undergoing a big renovation so lots of things are closed and it's a bit of a mess.
However the hotel is a super place to stay and relax in Singapore.
We will definately stay again.
the hotel was 5 star. We upgraded ourselves on a special offer to the suite. It was huge. I posted a photo of the ensuite living room.
The bed was huge and comfortable.
There was a coffee machine in the room (though we were not told that you have to pay for this, until we received an additional bill through the post, once we returned home!) this is the only gripe.
The service was excellent. The pool very nice. The restaurant and buffet , first class.
There are peacocks roaming all around the resort - very cool!
Worth every penny
As a frequent traveller on both business and leisure I was very impressed with this hotel. We splashed out and stayed in a deluxe suite on a stopover to Australia. The room was fantastic and catered for us needing to do a few work related e-mails etc.Good highspeed internet access and a great spa!If you are here on a Sunday the "Brunch" was worth the £30.I was so impressed I am planning to hold an international meeting here in the future.
I stayed with my six year old son at the Sentosa Resort for 8 days in March. It was perfect! The pool (33 meters) is fantastic with occasional wildlife (monkeys and peacocks) and there isa lot to do on Sentosa Island. Shuttle buses took us comfortably to the Harbourfront MRT station or to Orchard Road when we wanted citylife.
Best of all was the extremely friendly staff. I hope I can come back soon.
Nice secluded location, excellent pool, close to the beach and just a short taxiride to the city. Excellent breakfast and magnificent on-site restaurant (although somewhat pricey). The one and only drawback I found was that the fitness facilities were a bit run-down.
Great conference hotel
Great facilities for a conference, good sized rooms although I was upgraded. Food in the seafood restaurant was sensational as was the spa treatments. I would highly recommend this resort as a great place to enjoy time out after any conference. Close to golf course gfreat cocktails
More than a stopover
We stayed in two adjoining rooms at the resort in Sept for 4 days as a stop over from Australia to Europe for our children. Suprisingly we enjoyed it very much. It is an excellent hotel with large pool which is a necessity in a humid and hot climate, great meals, very large rooms which are greatly furnished and exceptionally helpful staff. Its location away from the main part of singapore also adds to its attraction. It is close to all the major singapore beaches which gives the tourist an opportunity to observe beach life as it is in Singapore. The monkeys raiding the towel bins near the pool was also an added bonus for our children! Ultimately it turned out to be more than a stopover and it was an important part of our holiday
