... knitting basket beside the sofa.

After wandering around the market and buying some intriguing venison pies and Christmas puddings, we drove along the Frome River valley eventually finding a sunny table at a pretty local pub. It was weird being hot that late in autumn.

Pleasant but also disturbing. There should be frosts killing off the bugs... not this unseasonal warmth.

Next day... off to Avis and Peter Gunn's to get more value out of ...

... hour flight, but it was probably the best flight I've ever had! Once we landed, it took forever to get through passport control, but once I was through I collected my bag almost immediately and made my way through to arrivals. I saw mum, gave her a big hug and started to cry! It was so good to see her and I was happy to be home, despite leaving all the adventure ...

Vienna and back; the bits we missed - 0 miles

... the hand work that was involved in the detail. Some of the dresses took months to make - one example quoted 9 mths for a special to order gown. They used to make some little models about 3/4 of a metre tall as a sample before starting to make the big one to be sure the 'lady' was happy with every thing. They also had mens clothing which was equally detailed. I also loved the colours of the fabrics, the combinations, styling - well everything ...

... now it's down to content. Someone is already following me, but no surprise that's Sara because I'm following her blog, lovely of her.

On a similar note, woke up to a flabbergasted email from Steven asking me what I had done, essentially. He's done reading TCM3. I'll suppress all snickering.

Went for a walk around Clifton about 10:30 and took two hours. It turned out to be a good walk although I didn't go in the jewellery shop ...
