    From Roswell we drive to Carlsbad Caverns. The caverns are on the Unesco world heritage list, so we decide to pay them a visit. Located 250 meters under ground are loads of stalagmites, stalactites, draperies, soda straws and popcorn. Soda straws being the tiny ones hanging from the ceiling . In Europe we call them Spaghetti. Popcorn are located on the ground. The cavern is beautiful, but we saw an even more beautiful cavern in Slovenia last year, so were a little spoilt. ...

    ... is more of a first birthday tradition to have a smash cake but we thought it would be fun - and it was!!

    ... customs, and were wondering if we needed to recheck our baggage. The people here at the airport sure are chatty! We spent a long time talking to two information specialists before begging off to the bathroom, where I called the hotel to request an airport shuttle pickup. Again, another symptom of slow Texas, we ended up waiting nearly half an hour for the shuttle!
