    ... which were bacon and maple syrup covered chocolate, dropped into the deep fryer and then scattered with bits of bacon. You could barely taste the bacon and it was all just a bit too gooey.

    We then headed to the cattle station where you could watch a competition where horse riders had to try and catch a calf with a lasso. This seemed rather inhumane and after watching for a bit we decided to move on.

    ... the last day we listened to someone called Lauren Manning talk about her brush with death as she survived the 911 attacks in 2001. She spoke of unmeasured strength and deciding to carry on when faced with adversity. She praised the nursing profession for the way in which we care for our patients and the hope we store in them each day. She was amazing. I'm off to Houston today, and then LA on the 14th.     ... the little historian in me! I'm on the 26th floor of the hotel and the view is incredible! My colleagues are here and attending the conference too, not entirely sure I will want to leave them and carry on with my adventure come Saturday, I'm really on my own then!
