Now I have to come clean with you. This friend of ours has three plants. I’m not quite sure what their Latin botanical name is, but we all know them by the local name. ‘Mary Jane… marihuana, weed, dagga or whatever. ... in, she looks quite the "Elegant Lady" whereas previously she looked a bit tired and frazzled. It is odd to have a yacht with a male name but call her a "she"! Perhaps that means she is a yacht for everyone who comes aboard without favour or discrimination. I've posted a couple of photos with the new gear on.

I'm basically having the boat pulled apart to find any weaknesses. Better to get the work done before we head off rather than have a critical failure out at sea that could compromise safety. Still I expected that I would find something unpleasant if I looked deep and hard enough and so it is.

major draw for this island, is the shopping. There are bargains to be
found, and St. Martin is duty-free for the most part. Marigot also
attracts those who seek couture and upscale imports from France.
Boutiques there fit the bill, reminding many of a more down-to-earth
version of St. Barth's.
Martin also has lots of cafes, bistros, and brasseries; most serving
up tasty creations with Gallic flavours ...
