... y aller et je suis heureuse de l'avoir fait! ... Déjà, cela nous a obligé de partir et d’arrêter de travailler, mais le paysage est spécial ... les roches et rochers partout me donnent l’envie de verdure ... et pourtant, ces montagnes semblent contenir beaucoup d'histoire... leur austérité et la tranquillité racontent des évènements passés.

C'était spécial de manger dans le petit square de Khasab, au milieu ...

Woke up rather early. Waited for the breakfast. The owner wanted to
renegotiate the price again, from 20 to 25 Rial ( ~500 SEK)…..with no hot
water, no curtains and empty tins for breakfast – NOPE! We did some pronto and
drove for Khasab. Passed the border in 30 min’s and it was nice to be back in
UAE.

During the ride we could see that rain had fallen from Sohar to
Josannah. Lots of water on the roads! Strange to see ...

... go to get a tune-up or whatever you call it in ship language. One tanker came within a few hundred meters of us. Made us feel like a small fishing boat. But, I could not go out since they said the seas were too rough. Pansies! So we were stuck inside the ferry for the rest of the trip. The ferry did not dock in Khasab until 9:00 (one hour late). The outside air was pretty hot after being in super AC for 6 hours. We got back on a small bus and it took us a grand ...

The drive along the Musandam coast to Khasab was gorgeous! It was amazingly beautiful---the highway hugged the coast between the mountain cliffs and the sea, and every once in a while there would be a small village or a seaside beach (public). This had me stopping ever five minutes to take all the pictures I could get. I also stopped at the fort in Bukha. I really wanted to go for a swim in the ocean, but wanted to get a bit closer to Khasab. I kept being lured ...

... built yet, but in sandals and armed with a torch, we had a look inside. Nice and posh with marble floors throughout and views of either the Arabian Gulf or the creek and the Hilton Beach Resort...which we'll be spending much of our time! We're both looking forward to starting there now and are much happier now we know what we're letting ourselves in ...
