... 1 hour I have been scanning the horizon for the sight of the runway. Nothing apart from small lights from boats. Eventually, I spot the bright lights of Dubai City and an aircraft in front.....phew. Then without warning we turn back towards the sea......have we been hi-jacked? At least we will go in comfort. Then something looking like the Hook Road Car park appears and were a making for it! All is well as we make a smooth landing and head for Gate ...

So now is a good time to write a blog right. The day before I fly, it's been pretty upsetting and stressful but myself my Mother, Father and Sister are enjoying a few bevvies in our hotel. I have to be honest I'm not looking forward to the goodbyes tomorrow morning, but it's safe to say we are enjoying each other's company and making the most of our time together. Here's a little known fact, "Big Ben" refers to the bell within the Westminster Tower, and not the tower itself! So you can't actually see Big Ben. Just hear him. And the tower was renamed the Queen Elizabeth Tower in honor of the 60th jubilee celebration for QE a few years ago.

... left and returned to Bricket Wood where the Fenney's and us had dinner right here at the hotel. A very nice modest restaurant with the old British character. We spent a few more hours in animated conversation with David and Barbara.. talked about the Work of the Church, what we're doing in media and talked about the growth of the Church that we all long for and expect.

The end of the day has arrived. Exhausted we go to sleep........
