... clock fixed). And it really was about spending time with family and giving...I was wiped out by hour #4 and was soon off for a nap and then awoke to look at some of the nice things I got.
Clearly Avery was super excited with her gifts.
... I feel unbelievably blessed and phenomenally fortunate to be a part of this family. In addition to my family, some of closest friends that I have known for decades and consider family are back in Texas. It was unfortunate that due to being ill, I was unable to spend time with them. The fortunate part is that my trip is ending where it began....at home, in Texas...and I hope to see you all...I'm sorry, I meant "YA'LL"....at the beginning of ...
... to change the room twice during one week.
At least that way I meet more people :-)
The pancakes in the morning with marple sirup are very very nice.
The youth hostel is a little bit further out and when driving on the bus one can clearly notice in what part of town it lies.
One thing that always amazes me about this country is how HUGE and WIDE everything is. The only limit is the sky.
It was our second day in Austin an time to explore the city. We started off kayaking and then swimming in a natural spring for the morning after we headed to the shops to go thrift shopping for Sam's birthday dinner! Half of the group did a cowboy theme while the other half did a colourful hippy theme. I found a full piece swimsuit that was blue and purple and teamed it with a bright pink skirt! We headed to the Salt Lick for dinner where there was an all you can eat BBQ ...
We bought a used 2007 Rockwood 1640 LTD popup camper from Craigslist. It was in brand new condition, and unexpectedly came fully stocked with dishes and utensils and even a microwave!
We were ready to camp and race!
We took the camper on a preliminary shakedown trip to make sure everything worked.
