    Race Day

A travel blog entry by legoodtimesroll on Jul 10, 2015

Graham met another trathlete on the campsite and they decided to travel on the 7.30 bus into Geneva. An early start with number tattoos applied , sun cream on and pre race breakfast. I delivered them to the bus stop and went back to see if there was any other signs of life at base camp. Slowly the campers emerged and prepared themselves for the day ahead in the hot sun, We failed to get to the bus stop by 10am as planned so had to wait another half ann ...

    Did you say cows?

A travel blog entry by alanad.abroad on Jun 20, 2015

... our list was a souvenir stores. We had a few things we wanted to pick up. I realized this is the first time I've stepped into one of these stores since we moved. I guess why do I need a souvenir if I'm living in the city. When I think of Switzerland I think of chocolate, watches, fondue and Ricola. I do not think of cows but when we went to the store there were cows every where. What is with the cows? I didn't realize they were know for cows. Anyone shred some light on this?

... a couple people who looked local cross so I figured it was safe. We got to drachenfels shortly after this and luckily it was open. It was 8:50 and the first train didn't leave until 9 so weren't sure when it open.

We got our tickets and waited. Shortly after we got there it was time for us to get loaded onto the train that took us up the hill. I was looking forward to this because Phil said if you could do one thing here he would recommend this for the view alone. For most ...

... I have learned an incredible amount about the UN system, as well as the role UNDP plays thus far. I am truly enjoying my experience, it is proving to be an invaluable learning tool. My supervisors and colleagues have been very supportive, and I am eager to gain greater assistance to tackle the many assigned tasks with the coming group of interns. More pictures and info to come! ...
