          ... Botanical Gardens and the nearby Sheffield General Cemetery. Avery was pumped for the cemetery because she studies mortuary archaeology. It has actually been closed since the 70's and is quite overgrown with headstones knocked over and such, but made for an interesting experience. The British apparently don't like to think about death much and tend to put cemeteries on the outskirts of town. Later that weekend, we happened across a cultural fest and grabbed some authentic dutch ...

          ... feeling going to somewhere that you can't really imagine! I've looked at pictures for months of Vietnam and can't believe we will be there this time tomorrow!           ... and was ushered into see Mr Prest by his carer. He's got all his marbles, wears a shirt and tie every day, just like when he worked in the Knaresborough bank all his career (apart from a stint in the war).

          He told me about a lot of his memories, but I'll summarise mainly what he told me about the Waltons and the mill in Knaresborough. He remembers that the mill was called Walton's Mill for all of his working life ...

          ... We stayed on a council run car park at Long Rock, between Penzance and Marazion this weekend. 24 hours parking is £5.70. Lovely view of St Michaels Mount, and right by the sea. Trucks use it too. There is a pub onsite, and a cafe during the day. It is on the bus route for Penzance. There is also parking on the jetty in Marazion which is £10 but we were too big to get in ...
