... fish and at least twice the price we have normally been paying, so tonight we had to make a run away quickly and not look back! Then we were searching for somewhere with wifi, spotted what looked like a nice restaurant on the rooftop of a hotel so went on up, asked to look at the menu and it seemed okay so stayed.. ... up with the great people I'd met when I was here before, a tasty meal at my favourite restaurant and a good boogie at the party I'd so enjoyed in the fancy open air club in the evening.

I managed it all but having a lovely last day and night made me even more sad to leave. More adventures to come I know, but Mandrem, somehow you stole a little piece of me and I'll need to come back soon to reinstate ...

... Over to the next place and we get sorted out for tomorrow's night train. Elated, we're told to come back in an hour to pick up the tickets. it was an happy hour whilst it lasted. We went back and got told the train was full, it'll have to be Wednesday. We have to check out tomorrow and so need to get another place. Wish us luck. Even better, please leave a comment, we could do with some moral support right now.

      While in Anjuna I visited:

      • Calangute / Baga (yuk.)
      • Old Goa (mildly interesting)
      • Paradise beach (a nice drive to a beautiful & empty beach, too quiet for me though)
      • Margao (city. dirty.)
      • Dudseghar waterfalls (a good day trip, more spectacular in monsoon season or just after I think)
      • Aguarda fort, it was OK. Nice ride ...

... morning to Arambol...next beach area about 30mins up and down from Mandrem. He got two blisters and very sore calves as he's been out of practice since Oz so think he'll take it handy with the running form now on i.e. he won't do anymore running!!! He also decided that running on Mandrem beach was out when he met a load of weirdo's that morning including naked mediating try hards and an old man in the thong speedo with a saggy ****. The afternoon was ...
