      Best pool in Flores

Awesome swimming pool area, perfect for spending the day if you have no other plans. good amount of sunbeds and towels are provided. Room was spacious and clean, only a curtain between the bedroom and bathroom which seems to bother some people but not a problem for us, if anything it helped the room to feel bigger. Breakfast is worth getting down early for as it seemed to go quite quickly but there was good choice and fresh omlettes. The hotel is a slight drive out of Labuan Bajo but for a small amount they have a car which will drive you in and pick you up too if needed...which it is in evenings as taxis are non existent and Bemo's do not run very late!
All in all an excellent hotel, book through agoda for nice cheap rates!

Room was very nice, the staff very helpful and the breakfast the best in Indonesia. However, the food and alcohol was far too expensive. More expensive than western prices!

We also made the effort to climb the island's mountain for sunset. I would say that the whole experience was relaxing, but the truth is that between the snorkeling and the hiking and the swimming I was left exhausted at the end of every ...

... so exciting to witness the process and Papa was grinning from ear to ear as I asked so many questions! He sells one 60ml (old plastic water bottle) for 1. I bought one to take with me to Moni for the family. While I was with them eating hot roasted peanuts, making kids laugh, chasing chickens, craving bacon cos I spotted a big fat babi (pig), I was becoming more and more tipsy with the forced glasses of Arak shoved in my hand over the hours! Hiro said he ...

We really enjoyed our afternoon on the bike tour mostly due to the incredible scenery. The highlight of the coffee plantation was trying the Luwak coffee- coffee that has been eaten by a Civet, pooped out, cleaned, then roasted and brewed -CatPooCino if you willJ It was an interesting experience, and while the coffee was nice I ...

On our way back to Labuan Bajo we stopped at Pink Beach for more snorkelling. The beach has a pink tinge to it due to the bits of red coral in the sand. The coral here was really amazing, it might even rival the Great Barrier Reef. There was so much of it, all different colours, and lots of fish too. We saw some really cool blue Starfish and loads of Clownfish. We snorkelled into the beach and were just ...

Why is Flores so bloody expensive?

... the Hotel Johny which we had been told by our ojek drivers was the cheapest place in town - 80,000INR for a single & 100,000INR for a twin room though which aint cheap in my book, especially seeing as the hotel is like a building site while they renovate it. The rooms also left a lot to be desired – no shower just bucket wash; no sink; and the bathroom floor a cm deep in water as the ...
