We left Cleveland on a warm September morning hoping to get to Virginia by late afternoon. We took I77 south to Strasburg, OH where we would leave the super slab behind for most of the trip. Little did we know that many two lane roads in most of the areas we would travel were near freeway speed limits. ... was hovering between 95 and 100 F (35-38C for Europhiles) and every traffic light went red. And these are air cooled bikes which means that they radiate a lot of heat. It is fair to say that we were hot!! Just as well summer ended last week.

... but, even when I went to Costa Rica, I have never had to speak to everyone I know in Spanish! Emily and I have decided to speak Spanish to each other, which will probably be the most strange experience. No matter what happens, I am truly excited to have my sister by my side. There’s some hardware that needs to be removed from it first so tonight’s tear down will take longer, but we have an 80 mile jump tomorrow to Maryland and the rest of the day off so that they will have the time needed to learn new tent set-up and tear down.
