We left Cleveland on a warm September morning hoping to get to Virginia by late afternoon. We took I77 south to Strasburg, OH where we would leave the super slab behind for most of the trip. Little did we know that many two lane roads in most of the areas we would travel were near freeway speed limits. Well done to Stuart and Sylvia for surviving a epic ride (227 miles) through the best and worst that the eastern states of the USA could throw at us. So much for the easy first day they asked for! Oops. But hopefully the jet lag will have eased tomorrow, and on the bright side Stuart’s new boots are, in fact, waterproof.

... in my textbooks. I hope to try their paella and check out some truly wonderful museums.
