... recently - spoiled myself to a glass of Cab Sauv, clam chowder and shrimp avocado salad at the Spinnaker restaurant on the water. I then checked out the nearby miniature famer’s market and chilled on soft grass, next to calm water, under generous sun, with a freshly baked brownie and KindleŠ before taking the ferry back to fisherman’s wharf. It was a perfect day of solo exploration and end-of-trip reflection.

... an outdoor pool in this park but it didn't have water in it. Lots of people were out enjoying the sunshine, with old men playing dominoes and cards for poker chips. The ice-cream men pushed carts in and out of the people jingling a bell (probably annoying for the people sleeping under the trees).

Once the show was over, we were escorted from the studio back to our cars on foot by a series of pages and production assistants. Back in our car, we looked at our schedule and programmed our route for Grauman's Chinese Theatre. ... through the car rental stuff and to be pointed in the direction of the part of the lot where the SUVs were parked up. "Just pick one" said the guy at the desk. There were 4 or 5 Jeeps, some sort of Nissan 4x4 and a Kia Sportage to choose from. We loaded our bags into one of the Jeeps and the realised there was no USB port for charging the iphone and my iPod so we unloaded all the luggage and loaded up the Kia that did have the USB port.
