My 12 year old says " they ruin my birthday every year" there's not enough time to tell all the problems we have had here from screwed up reservations where they put 9 of us in a " loft suite" with a king bed and sofa sleeper (Yup, thats it, 2 beds for 9 people) to sending 5 kids out …
... say, it has been a whirlwind! I can't believe we are leaving Albuquerque in just a few days, it feels like just yesterday we arrived. Albuquerque has been an awesome city to us, and the people we've known here are going to be so very missed! Hopefully though, through this blog, we'll keep in touch just a bit better :) ...
... for their red and green Chile sauces, however it's hard to choose between them so if you have red and green it's called Christmas, which is indeed what Tom did! Tanya had the Santa Fe Eggs Benedict, corn bread, chorizo hash, poached eggs, bernaise sauce and red chile sauce, with a side of crispy potatoes. Mmmmmmm. Thought Dani would appreciate the use of funds for an immense Mexicans hangover cure! We spent a couple of hours sunbathing until some rain ...
... We saw a 40 foot or so metal tepee that was a store on our way and a couple large arrows that I'm sure were made to kill giants.
Anywho, we arrived in the city of Albuquerque with plenty of daylight left (something we had not been able to achieve so far on our trip) and managed to make it to the farm that we were staying at with Kelly and her mother, Vicky. We had utterly delicious Enchiladas Verde and then played pool and ping pong. Altogether, I quite relaxing night.
... with 2 other women was directed towards their bed and away from mine. Sooo, I sought shelter elsewhere. So much for my Hostel experience. I don't mind sharing a space but I do require a/c or at least a circulating fan and a window I dare open. I stopped at Wendy's and got a salad to take with me to my room. Nothing says fine dining like a Green Salad with chicken and strawberries. I miss travelling with my daughter Tannis. ...
