Nice service from The Heritage Baan Silom. Located just nicely around area that you can have shopping and eating nearby. Room is nicely decorated, but the water heater only works after a while you run the water on. Wifi cannot reach up to higher floors but guests are always welcomed to hang out at the beautiful lobby.

I would recommend the place for business travelers and honeymooners.

That being the case, I need my visa now.I found pictures of the embassy online or else I probably wouldn't have found the almost unmarked door that leads to the visa processing ...

... before heading out to Khao San Road. It's hard to describe Khao San Road, it really needs to be seen, but for anyone who hasn't been, picture a street with market stalls selling clothes and jewellery lining each side, interspersed with bars and restaurants, street vendors weaving their carts in and out of the crowd, selling anything from sweetcorn to fried scorpions and men trying to sell you tickets to a ping pong show (if you don't ...

... One of the most famous sights is the Buddha head now surrounded by tree roots, and so there were lots of tourists taking photos there (annoyingly with them in the photos as well).
I finished the trip at around 4pm and headed back to catch the train, thankfully it was on time and I made pretty good time back into the city. A good day all in all, and I was pretty pleased with myself that I had managed go on my own and not with one of the ...
