      ... Times Square was already swarming with people and we had to go to the Port Authority Transport Terminal to pick up our 3 day hop on hop off bus tickets. I had to stand in line for around 45 minutes just to redeem a printout of the purchase of our tickets. We were given our tickets and also a plastic card for all our admissions to any attractions we visit over the 3 days.

      ... in the pool complex. Got ready for the firework show out by Brooklyn Bridge. Arrived at the fireworks a bit late, caught a taxi over there. Walked as close as we could to south street. Our view was blocked partially by a high rise motorway. We found an outdoor street party and watched the fireworks from there. Huge fireworks took off, lasting over 20 minutes.       Again nothin interesting happened and we landed in nyc. Jenny had a flight to ottawa, i opted for the bus which meant that i had a day to kill in NYC.
