Der Tag diente der Rückreise nach Singapur. 8h Flug vergingen aber mit Singapore Airlines sehr schnell. Am Abend waren wir dann doch etwas müde, da es ein Tagesflug war. Ich war dann alleine noch kurz am Collyer Quay unterwegs um mit ein HotDog zu kaufen; natürlich kein HotDog so wie wir es kennen, eines mit Chilli-Krabben Sauße …

We landed 4 hours later in Singapore - the airport was clean and swift at customs. We opted for the airport shuttle bus to take us to our hotel as we weren't sure of the MRT (tube system) and where we were heading. This was a very nice air conditioned half hour drive seeing some sights of Singapore - a good decision to pay the extra we thought!

Everything was clearly signposted, there were bathroom facilities liberally scattered throughout and there were drinking fountains which positively encouraged one to fill up their empty water bottle. This sense of organisation and structure continued into the metro station; our one point of confusion came as we tried to buy tickets to the city centre, only to find that the machine would not accept the large denomination notes we ...
