Ok - so we left Ballyshannon on our way to Westport. Great ocean views and a lot of cattle/sheep. Great ride - I really like Sliago area - the town of Innisscone has some great beaches.

So we are now in Westport - having dinner on the quay - tomorrow night we head to the pub by the name of Matt Molloy - owned by the Chieftains - if I have to tell you who the Chieftains are - well - you are not Irish nor do you like Van Morrison.

A drive straight to our night accommodations, with a ...

... four of us! The driver loads the car, calls another truck and drives off. We are now sitting out on a rock, stranded in the middle of nowhere, with no car! It is a very strange, abandoned feeling. Sure hope it doesn't rain. Another 30 minutes passed before the tow truck arrives and we pile in. Whoopy, what a wild ride. The driver knew the roads and we flew. The key to driving on narrow roads - go down the middle! It was kind of fun, ...

... have been several times that road rage could be applied to us! BUT the most confusing thing, and Nina & Richard found this as well, is you drive down the street and cars are parked in both directions on the sides of the street! Boyle, it's a beautiful compact prosperous town, only there 10mins and never even got out of the car but the place had a real warmth about it. The river split it, a couple of old old bridges, the abbey ruins beside the river. Fabulous ...
