... been up there. We then wandered on to state street. They had quite a lot of quirky little independent shops. We then headed inside of a center of the arts building where they hold theatre shows occasionally through the summer. Had a very cool stair case round the edge which looks over the middle part and down into one of the stages. I was determined to get a top of some ...

We woke to ominous skies this morning and it rained for about the first 10 miles of the trip. Then, it was just overcast and kind of ugly until late afternoon.

We drove 270 miles across Minnesota into Wisconsin along I-90. It was flat green farmland for 270 miles. We ate lunch in La Crosse, WI, right on the eastern side of the Mississippi River. We then drove ...

... everywhere! 45,000 students here. $55 ticket- we opted to watch all the activity around the stadium. A lot of drinking and smashed students. Went to the union on the edge of the lake-sailing, boating, windsurfing and it's 57 degrees. People of all ages biking. Bikes everywhere and people in shape, very active. People very friendly.

Stopped 2 nights at the Lake Farm Tavern or as ...
