... for a hike in the super dark and dense woods that surround the lake.

Around 7:00, we finally headed to the hostel with a quick stop at Aldi to pick up dinner and snacks. The hostel is pretty nice and there is a car park right next door. Dornoch also boasts a wonderful long, pristine beach...I remember it fondly. Dad established the first dinghy sailing club there, but ran into stiff opposition when he wanted to hold activities on The Sabbath Day.


I recall that he triumphed in the end....!

The weather continues to be exceptional and we are having a great time. Yesterday we went to John O'Groats, which is the northernmost town in Scotland and also Dunnet Head, which is the northernmost point.
At Dunnet Head we saw puffins, which always causes a bit of excitement!
It was a lovely day, visiting little fishing villages like Lybster ( you have got to love ...
