Had free breakfast at the hostel. Lots of cereal and toast. Washed up and packed up. Weather had improved from last night's pouring rain. First stop was Caerphilly Castle, built in the 1200s. It had moats with water and proper portcullises and drawbridges. Best thing was that there were signs rather than audio guides, and we were free to roam.
