... that was something I wanted to overdose on. I'm going to look it up, but maybe corned beef is a U.S. thing? Ireland is amazing and we're already planing our next trip. We flew out of Dublin and landed in New York last night, then on to SanFran. We had a screwup with our hotel reservation last night so we were scrambling for a place to stay. We found a 000.000000001-star hotel that I'm certain comes with diseases and drive-bys. But they had a bed and it was ...

It's the Memorial Day holiday, and quite hot even though the temperature is supposed to be 28C. We walked downtown and had a coffee and biscotti, for morning tea. We then drove around to Chris & Aya's, getting there about 11.30am. My first quiet day! Took it easy in the morning and then went to San Jose airport in the Leaf (electric car) to pick up Jackie's daughter Hannah, who is staying until Sunday. On Tuesday I was going to meet Hannah, Jackie and her boss Enis for the laters birthday lunch.. But unfortunately, Enis wasn't well so it got cancelled.. Instead, I caught the light rail to Santa Clara and popped into the Britannia pub ...

... Only to find, when we arrived that the flight was delayed an hour.

The best thing I did when organizing the trip was to arrange to have a driver pick us up. There he was waiting when got out of customs with a nice big sign in his hand that said my name. I could have kissed him! But I didn't. Lol. It was a nice air conditioned drive in a Mercedes Van straight to the hotel. Thank god for the air conditioning because Barcelona is HUMID! I did not expect that at ...

... trip of a lifetime. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't change a thing. And while I still wish it wasn't over, I'm very glad it happened. I know I will never forget any of it. For now though, I'm eagerly awaiting my next European adventure, as well as the Olympics returning to the U.S. I plan on volunteering. Until then, and even then, London 2012 will be my favorite Olympics.
