... it was on the coast but in reality it is 15 kms from it. Never mind - the sea can wait.
Went to the castle - probably the main drawcard ( Kochi-jo ). Built in the 17th century but rebuilt in 1750 after a fire. What else; everything is destroyed by fire it seems. It was one castle in Japan that never came under attack by those warring warlords so is a bit original although I ...

It's a bit if a hike to the beach, 11k, but hey by the time I get there the dip is even more heavenly than usual. Also I get to see heaps of the outskirts of the city as I choose different routes to get there. Kochi has it all. Shopping arcade, a river lined with palm ...

Nach Kotohira fuhren wir ins Iya-Tal. Dort hat es viele Steilwände und Flüsse, welche sich auch zum River Rafting sehr eignen.
Anschliessend fuhren wir nach Kochi, wo wir übernachteten.

After Kotohira we drove to the Iya Valley. There are a lot of steep face and rivers where you also can go rafting.
In the afternoon we drove to Kochi, where we also stayed for the night.
