Death Valley to Las Vegas

Second part of the DEATH VALLEY journey with a drive through the desert to the city of Las Vegas, this takes 2 hours 30 mins to cover 118 miles. Despite the heat, we all sleep well last night, we have the air-con on and a ceiling fan, so it's a bit like sleeping next to a jet engine, I have developed a cough though from somewhere, maybe the dry …

An early start to the day, my blackberry goes off at 4.45, my watch at 4.50, hotel alarm call at 5am and finally, jess's I-pod has a dog alarm that also goes off at 5am, we are awake in time to meet our driver in the lobby area of the hotel at 5.30. As we drive out we can see the sun rise over Las Vegas at 5.55, it's quite beautiful and with the …

What a crazy busy week with 5 days of Tony Robbins seminar and 1 day for rest and relaxation at the end. I did get some daytime and some nighttime photos whenever I could.

I took the Deuce bus down the strip on Monday night to old Las Vegas on Freemont Street. If I come back again, I will definitely return to Freemont Street. But, I would …

Friday 31st Jan- Time to pack up now and say goodbye to Vegas. Both absolutely loved the place. We will definitely be returning. In the 4 days we have been here think we've both gained about 2 stone each already. The food is just amazing. Definitely recommend the Cheesecake Factory. Food in here was lovely and of course so was the gigantic slice of …

The cliental of the hotel was mature but young; loved the amount of seating, selection of drinks/food, and great music. Also nice that the downstairs bar had good lighting to be able to meet new and visit with old friends.

Funky hotel, cool decor.. Lovely chill out music in Boulevard Pool. Excellent buffet. Excellent location. Worth paying extra for Fountain view balcony room.....fab views and jacuzzi bath, complete with kitchen area, but no plates, glasses, cutlery etc. Only downside....our room wasn't cleaned. Rang to complain and they came up and changed towels but didn't make beds.

I had the Wrap around terrace suite. Worth every penny! Possibly the best suite I've ever stayed in. Very large and very well appointed. Seems they have thought of everything. Especially liked the washer and dryer, which came in very handy, as I've been on a road trip, and needed to wash loads of clothes. Staff were excellent. The view from the HUGE terrace was lovely. Had a great view of the Ballagio fountains. Will deffo stay there again.
