... Ingleby Cross. This we managed to do in only 8hrs 30min due to it being almost dead flat across the broad valley of the River Swale. Luckily there has been little rain so the paths were dry through paddocks of dairy cattle and sheep, then Lucerne and barley. Apparently they are called 'half pints' here... The London Eye was pretty cool, the only annoying thing was being stuck in that little ball with a bunch of sweaty strangers (the weather has been beautiful). The view was amazing from the top, and the Eye itself was cool. ...

... the sun was shining strong and made it hot and stuffy. I believe I even have a tan!

But I made it! Arrived at Bowness and went straight to the Bed and Breakfast to shower.

An excellent place, and looks much better than expected. A couple of dogs, great rooms and all clean and warm. Of course after freezing for 5 nights and sleeping on humid floors my opinion might be flawed...I still think its great.

I showered (long, hot shower) and given ...
