... but we talked too much and ran out of time…
On Saturday I did my usual run to the market at Prospect Park and then we headed over to Suzy and Leigh’s to pick up a table, ice cream machine and a few other odds and ends as they were leaving New York and heading back home to Perth. ... though. The Met was immense and incredible. It is the second most visited art museum in the world after the Louvre and has artwork from all over the globe. The Egyptian collections probably amazed us the most. If you want to see dinosaur fossils go to the AMNH. We also got to see a pretty cool temporary whale exhibition that was from New Zealand. ... exactly where you want to go and what bus
or train to take, since there will be so little information. So the bus will
take me in six stops to Port Authority which is very close to Times Square. But
I find Port Authority to be one crazy, large, unorganized place. I can imagine
right then en there why people avoid the subway system. I was able to find the
subway, but I wanted information on what I needed for the New Jersey system and

So we hit the 7, changed to the G, and soon, with numb toes and wind-lashed faces, were speedwalking down Metropolitan Ave in Williamsburg, seeking sustenance to fuel an all-nighter.

... Canal Street, it changes dramatically, turn left into Chinatown and it is decidedly downmarket. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly the character of the different neighbourhoods change within metres. Canal Street is not pretty; it is a place my better half would want to leave immediately.
I head back towards the hotel. There is place nearby that has a hot buffet where you can buy a range of meals, pasta, chicken, beef, rice, vegetables etc at ...
