... and yes, the mountains are impressive.
As we didn't want to take Frankie too high into the alps, we chose a campsite at Lausanne on Lake Geneva. It is known as Lac Leman by the locals. The first day we went to the lake to have a look. The water was clear, blue and very clean. Apparently it has not always been like it and in the 1960's it was too polluted to swim in. When you stay ...

About 3 hours into our hike, in the middle of a cow pasture high above the valley we encountered the Alp Bovine cafe! It was almost at the high point of our hike today. We had a sandwich and. 3. Switzerland is EXPENSIVE! There are luxury stores, hotels, and restaurants everywhere. Rolex, Tag, Cartier, Four Seasons Hotel, Armani, Prada, InterContinental Hotel are a few of the common brands and places we came across. The average price for meals was about 20 dollars.

... something new. I never thought I would do the search work in my native language! After saying goodbye to Elise and Masuma, I had dinner at the Martins. Carole made a French beef dish which I have no idea how to spell haha but it was good! After dinner we went to a free music festival. I didn't know any of the bands but the two we saw were pretty good! Needless to say, I'm exhausted! And tomorrow is another busy day...can't ...
