      ... many many different movies shot in town, and he pointed out the places where they were filmed. The roads are narrow, lined with trees, have grassy mediums and some are cobblestones. We found a street that led down to the water front that was paved with ballast stones from the sailing ship of bygone times. Walking quickly throughout the Fort to limit the number of bites we were being subjected to, we viewed sleeping quarters, goals, ammunition, cannons and flags from the ages in this area. In costume was also a gentleman who was glade to answer any questions regarding the history of the Fort. Owens Thomas house was a beautiful Regency house that had an amazing bridge stair case and very interesting floor treatments in both the back and front entry lobbys, it was like a painted canvas, a reproduction of the original, but I'd never seen anything like it. A design feature of the house was interesting little windows to catch breezes. For its time it had very advanced plumbing.
