    ... to the top left along the banks of the river. There was plenty of activity with joggers, cyclists and 4 man and. 8 man boats from the local boat club sculling up and down . The weather had been really kind to us, and with no wind the temperature was really warm as the sun set. We had a light sandwich. ( after our large lunch) for evening meal (great salad garnish ! ) in a local pub before retiring back to our posh drapers hall boutique ...

    We started the day with a typical Welsh breakfast, consisting of laverbread and leek sausage, bacon, black pudding, fried potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs any style except omelet. There was also a complete selection of cereals, teas, jams and jellies, and fruit juices. Toast comes in white or brown.

    You might ask about the black pudding. It's very similar to blood sausage.

    ... to Preston, turning down the M6 for a short way the turning off we headed across country via Chester, into Wales via Wrexham, Oswestry and finally arrived three hours later at Shrewsbury. With the roof down on the BMW and a sunny 22 degrees it was a great journey. Our hotel for the two nights is a 16 th century inn with only 4 boutique rooms. We are staying in the lime suite !!!     ... as twin with single beds. Every hotel we have had our own beds with single doonas. Our tour guide has phoned ahead and tried to change our bookings but some of the hotels are booked out and can't make the change) and dinner was delicious. The only negative - only 30mins of free wifi. Bedtime now, not much to report besides the bus journey and shopping. yah we are no longer in Scotland - I can't wait for a good nights sleep.
